My grandmother passed away
She passed peacefully at 2:30 this morning. She had a mild stroke Friday and they did not expect her to live through the night. My mother and her 3 sisters got to spend all day Saturday with her and she was awake and alert for much of the day. She was 99 years old and had just recently started having days when she didn't recognize loved ones.
I am just waiting for details on the funeral arrangements so I can head up to Iowa with my sister who lives here in Nashville and my 2 nieces from Clarksville. It's a 15 hour drive so y'all pray for us. The 4 of us will be traveling in one car so we'll have 3 drivers to trade off with (my sister doesn't drive anymore).
My youngest sister lives with our mother in Iowa and she said mom and the aunts are all doing okay. I am so glad they all got to spend that last day with my "Muggie".
Sad news. But sounds like your "Muggie" lived a very good life. It's the ones left behind that grieve. Praying for comfort and peace.
Have a safe trip. 
Thank you Sweetie! My mom is doing okay. She is looking forward to having all of us come up. She just hates that it is taking a funeral to get us together.
The funeral is Friday morning. We are planning on leaving Wednesday night so we will be there Thursday for the visitation and drive back on Sunday so we can have Saturday to just hang out with my mom.
