OT: Prayers Please
If you all could keep my family in your prayers, I'd apprieciate it. My aunt has been having multiple health problems since the spring and was facing leg amputation. She finally decided over the weekend that she does not want her leg amputated and wants to return to the nursing home that she has been residing at to die. This has been particularly hard for my mother, some of you have met her before. My mother is power of attorney for my aunt and has been her friend for more than 38 years. My mother has played the role of cargiver for both of her parents and now is taking her 3rd turn as caregiver and is under a lot of stress caring for her sister-in-law (my aunt being married to my father's brother). Thanks for the prayers.

P E A C E - It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.
My aunt's doctor at Centennial who also works with Dr. McDowell (who did my surgery) said my aunt made the right decision not going with the amputation. She has already went through 4 major operations this year since May, including repairing a blood clot in the leg, having her colon removed, and a bypass to unblock an artery. Who knows how long it will take, but she is surrounded by family and friends who love her.
And if you could keep my brother's wife, Mary, in your prayers as well. She lost her grandmother last Saturday and yesterday her lapdog, Moe, was put to sleep. I liked to refer to Moe as one of my canine nephews. He was an old dog, that had Parkinsons, and dementia...I'll miss the fluffy little pooch. Mary is really having a hard week though.
