A few of us were talking at the Walk From Obesity that it might be fun to get together and have a opportunity to dress up for some kind of Christmas Show....I think the Symphony has Handel's Messiah the third week of December and TPAC has White Christmas the first week of December...and I'm sure we could find a few other ideas... Any one interested in doing something "Christmas'y" as a group?  (I'm sure there would be some cost for tickets but I think it would be fun!)

just a Idea   or getting dressed up at going some where nice for dinner like the chop house or something like that. so that everyone can talk and get to know eachother but most of you all already know eachother maybe I am way off base in what you are talking about or thinking. I'm in agreement with this Pam on this one...and how about doing a secret Santa? Maybe this could be a dressy event...I need a good reason to dress up.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Me and hubby will be out of town the week before Christmas, we are going to Gatlinburg for our 5th year wedding anniversary. I would really like to meet all of ya'll. Keep the board posted.Cheryl

Shelia, I am gonna throw out a date, for purely selfish reasons.  How about Saturday December 15th.  I suggest this because I will be in Nashville for the Centennial Christmas and would love to hit the Lunch Bunch Christmas Shindig as well.   Thanks, Darlene   Christmas Lights

I like Pam's suggestion of an evening out at TPAC. Hubby's schedule is unpredictable even in mid-December. Things have usually slowed down enough that he could probably make sure he had a particular Friday or Saturday evening off. He starts Santa pics October 23rd. How insane is that?! Christmas will be here before we know it!!

I'm sure a Christmas dinner could be arranged separately of an Christmas event with those who would like to do an event...there are several options in December.  At TPAC; White Christmas, Nutcracker, Tuna Christmas.  Schemerhorn (hope I spelled that right) -- Handel's Messiah.  Grand Ole Opry House -- Rockettes.  Of course depending on what we dedide would determine the dates.  I think a weeknight like a Thursday might not be as busy with all the holiday stuff and might be a little less expensive.  Just some thoughts.
