Well I spent most of the weekend at Goodwill.  I went to the Nolensville Road store twice this week...  yesterday for the grand half off sale, I visited Rivergate and Gallatin.  Today I went to Franklin's store....  I got some wonderful things.  I found Ann Taylor skirts, blouses, jeans.  I found a pair of black cordoroy pants (my favorite as they are so warm), a gob of shirts...  Franklin had a blue tag special for 99 cents each today.  I spent $50 all together and I have spent all evening ironing up clothes...  If you have never heard me say this before: I LOVE BEING SKINNY I LOVE TRYING CLOTHES ON, - - AND THEY FIT I LOVE BUYING BRAND NAME CLOTHES AT THE GOODWILL It is wonderful.....!!!!!

We were reminded that yesterday was 1/2 off day.  so we went since I was told my blue jeans were getting baggy.  I was shocked!  We walked away with 2 pair of Levis and a pair of Duck Head for me, 2 pair of school pants for RJ, and a chambray blouse for Beth, and still spent less that $15 dollars!  Wow!   Now I'll have to really start looking for those new Speedos!!

I have learned to respect Goodwill so much.  Right now my abdomine is swelling and is solid hard, even my size 6 jeans are too tight.  I have something growing and it's now in my pouch, my pancreas is acting up, causing my sugar to drop to 40 and then jump up real high, back down again.  It's driving me crazy.  Dr. won't check it, but it's messing with my blood counts, plus I have a blocked artery in the abdominal aortic causing my heart to beat too hard at night when I am in bed.  So I am leaving Goodwill out of my life until this swelling goes away.   I did find 3 pairs of Jeans, an emerald green car coat, looked great with my red dress I found there for Christmas.  A robe, a jogging outfit, and a sweat suit only to discover it had a fly in it.  Never heard of sweatsuit pants having a fly.  Oh well, I can wear them around the apartment since my jeans hurt so much to fasten them.  I even managed to find some clothes for my grandkids for Christmas.  A five and three yr old sure do grow fast.   Need to load the van for my trip to the other side of Knoxville in the morning.  That way I can just get up, shower and hit the road.   Love to all, Kathy

I love Good Will and Salvation Army!  I didn't find much in the way of clothes this time but I did get a wonderful toy that I have been playing with all weekend.  Have you ever seen that infomercial on TV for the GT Xpress 101?  It is this little gadget that you cook stuff in...it has two little wells and they show you how to make omlets and corndogs and all kinds of stuff.  Well, I found one at Good Will for $4.50 and it is brand new!!!! I have had the best time playing with it...reminds me of my first Easy Bake oven :)   Anyway...I love, love, love Good Will and Salvation Army!  Listed below are some of my best finds... Perry Ellis wool winter coat ($14.00) London Fogg lined trench coat ($7.00) Ann Taylor black leather jacket ($7.00) Talbots pants ($2.50) Liz Claiborne lined dress pants - brand new with the tags still on ($2.50) Ralph Lauren jean - brand new with the tags still on ($2.50) Oleg Cassini sequin dress - brand new with the tags still on ($12.00) Love my thrift shopping! Belk and NY & Co. have really great sales going on too! I know this isn't quite as cheap as Goodwill and Salvation Army, but I stocked up on sweaters last week, and got some for more than 50% off! Really good deals if you care to check them out.
