I SURVIVED!!!!!

Hi Ya'll! I survived my first day with 9th graders!  I have a few upper classmen but mostly freshman.  I took plenty of liquids and protein to sustain me until 1:15 p.m. lunch!  I did recieve complaints though.  A  group in each class complained that they actually had and were expected to do work.  They did make life hard for those who wanted to do their work.  Some finally just shut up.  I did not raise my voice or tell any one of them to shut up, just hush and please be quiet and conciderate.  Many were gratefull.  All in all the day went well.  A total culture shock for some, but they will get over it.   Thanks for the thoughts and prayers,  keep 'em comin'!!    Peace! The Lord sure must have blessed you with more patience than he did me!  I dont think there is anyway in the world I could spend a day with high schoolers!!!  Glad to hear that it went so well...

Beth ~ All day yesterday I kept wondering how you were doing, and would just send a quick little prayer upward for you. I'm glad to hear that it went well!  I'd say you had a class with both Grantham and Harrison Stieber today (only they won't be in HS for another 5/7 yrs. respectively.) The "Harrisons" out there need to be roped in (and sometimes hog-tied!), but the "Granthams" appreciate your efforts very much! Just know that some of us moms know exactly where you're coming from, 'cause we take up that exact baton during homework time! ~ Tara
