Why All The Food Commercials When I'm On Liquids?

I'm on my pre-op liquid diet and every other commercial is for food. My teenage daughter works for Wendy's and she was eating a cheeseburger and fries in front of me today. arrrrrrrrrgh!!!! Tell me I will make it to the 12th. I've already asked my hubby for a burger and fries and he handed me a popsicle. lol He is skeered that I might crack up before the week is up.

Bless your hubby's heart. It sounds like he is going to be a wonderful support for you. As for the Wendy's...try to imagine it with all of that grease congealed on it, cold, hard bun, dried up fries. Does it still sound good? You can get through this and it will all be worth it!

You can do this....we've all been through it, or at least I have.  I had Dr. Dyer too as my surgeon and I made it...lol.  You will too.  Just take it one day at a time.  Just keep your eye on the prize....a healthier you.  Ask your daughter not to eat infront of you any longer.  Tell her that it's bothering you and she should understand.  I'm with Susan on what she said about you dh....he does seem like he's going to be a great support system for you.  And that is extremely important in your journey.  Good luck with everything.  And don't kill any one before the 12th....lol. Hey neenaj, I just had my surgery yesterday. I had the same problems with the liquid diet and thought about how unfair life was the whole time.LOL You can do it and then be very proud of yourself!

It is so worth it!  Just keep telling yourself that if you eat...no surgery (that's what I did.)  It's black and white...no gray area.  You can do it.  I strongly recommend banana popcicles. Good luck! Freddie

Here I sit, sipping my protein shake while my coworkers are all out at lunch.... trust me, you are not alone.  I'm on liquids, too.  I'm having my surgery 2 days after you.

I'm hanging in there, except for the diarherra but another person posted that it is normal because our bodies are cleansing out. Thinkpink you are a strong lady having your surgery on Valentine's Day and sipping your protein drink while others are out to lunch. Way to go. I'm a substitute teacher so I just haven't worked the last couple of days. My dh, dd and ds are helping me so much and so is everyone here.
