liquids---pre op

hey,  I start with liquids tomorrow my Dr.  said I could have one 90 cal yogart a day..how did you all keep the urge not to eat up?  Thank you all..  Joyce in KINGSPORT TN

I know that not eating seems impossible but keep in mind the reason that you are doing it.  They are going to cut your intestines and attach them to another place.  You need to have those puppies as clean as possible to reduce the risk factor.  Also, you are trying to shrink the size of your liver prior to surgery.  The urge to eat disappears when you have surgery.  Prior to that it is sheer determination.  You can do it!  If I can...you can.

For me the first day was the hardest but I came here and got wonderful support. I'm on my last day of liquids because my surgery is tomorrow !!!! You can do it, just tell yourself that this is a new beginning for the rest of your life. Read some of the wonderful tips on this website and it will help. Good luck.

wow,,u get yogurt ? Ima gonna commense ta pountin now ! I started my liquid diet today and I have had 2 sf instant breaksfast's and 3 bottles of water already..Im glad I just stocked up on sf popsicle's ! Freddie is a smart cookie,,
