Update on where Im going

Found out today  that my husband's new duty station is in Oak Ridge TN so I guess we will find a place to rent somewhere in the Knoxville area, I have no clue where to look. Is Knoxville the best place to look for something to rent? The first post I made you guys gave me great advice/information, just want to get into a good neighborhood and cant wait to meet some of you guys. Hugs

Hey Donna,  May I suggest Karns. It is a nice community between Knoxville and Oakridge. It is a growing community with affordable housing. If you want to live in Oakridge, I will contact my friend who lives in Oak Ridge about the better parts of town.  Do you want to live in an apartment or house?

 

We are wanting to rent a house. My husband said his commander said he may want to try and find a house in Knoxville or somewhere other than Oakridge not sure why he told him that. I have no clue where I want to live lol sad huh? Thing is I know nothing at all about the area(s)

Donna, I am not real familiar with Oak Ridge.  I know there are some nice areas, and some not so nice.  Karns is a great area and the high school there is really good too.  It is also just a few minutes from Oak Ridge.  A lot of folks that work at ORNL live in Karns.  Looking forward to making you a "VOL"!!!!!!!!
