Hon you are normal.  We all thought we would never enjoy food again.  That's not true!  You will just enjoy different foods.  You won't want most of what you eat now!  You will CRAVE good foods and enjoy, and savor, each thing as you each it cause your tummy will be smaller.  Foods i never enjoyed before, I love now.  Shrimp.  Love. Crab.  Love.   Lobster tail.  Love.  Stuff I liked before:  don't enjoy so much.  Such as:  steak.  Beef.  Pork.  Pizza.  Although we do have a good, no let me state, a GREAT low carb pizza substitute! You'll do great!  We are rootin' for ya!

I was right where you are last week. Just keep your eyes on the outcome. You can do this. You are strong. This is a life changing decision as well as a life saving decision. It will be worth it. I'm 8 days post-op and I'm doing protein shakes and sipping lots of water and whenever I get down and when I was in the hospital and it hurt I would repeat my favorite scripture and it worked. My favorite scripture is Phillipians 4:13 "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthenth me."

Just keep telling yourself that after Friday, you will not be physically hungry for quite a while. You can get through this! Like Mel said, you will not only eat again, you will actually enjoy your food more. It is all worth it. The improved health, smaller size clothes, improved self esteem, all worth it. Hang in there girl! You are ready to grab that brass ring and win the big prize!!
