Post Op Liquid Protein Question

I am having my surgery on March 11, 2008 and want to know if the New Whey Protein Bullets are considered a "clear liquid" for the stage one part of post-op.  I have tried the bullets over the Isopure and they taste better to me right now.  Can I have these?  I have looked through my paperwork and it does not list the bullet as something I can have. Thanks! Stacy

Hi Stacy

I'm not sure if they would or not but don't get a bunch of them til after surgery.  Your tastes will change.  If you like them now you may not like them after.  Before surgery I could drink the SlimFast drinks but now I can't stand to smell them.  Ask your nutritionist any questions you might have.  That's what they're there for.  Good Luck!!!

Stacy,

I see who your surgeon is and he was my surgeon.  The Centennial program doesn't  like for us to use the bullets.  So you need to talk to the nutrionist before you buy alot of them up.

You might want to try Cytosport RTD. It is considered a clear liquid like the Isopure and has the same protein content. It tastes a whole lot better than the Isopure though. It comes in watermelon, tangerine and tropical flavors and you can get it at The Vitamin Shoppe. As always, check with your surgeon/nutritionist though. Perhaps take a bottle of the Cytosport to the nut and have her look it over.

Susan, Thanks for the advice. I know my Mom who I believe you know ( Sarah Wilson ) could not drink the Isopure. I will definatly try these and take one with me next week to the nutritionist and see what she says. Stacy
