Walmart carries lots of stuff in their sporting goods dept. I worked up from two pound weights.... Another thing I enjoy doing is trying different types of workouts. We have a used bookstore in town that carries DVDs and VHS tapes...I can get several for ultra cheap and then when one absolutely doesn't suite me...I don't feel bad. funny thing is that the ones I thought I could never do...I can do most of now. That accelerated body sculpting Pilates is a dooosy. I'm fine till I get to the put your butt in your face move and the balance on your tailbone while holding your legs up in front on you in a V. When I can get those down........I get a treat. I'm eyeing some garden things for my birthday. MOTIVATION....it's a good thing Beth B. in Chattanooga

Okay, you messed up. But, you caught it early and you know what you need to do. You have already taken a big step in just getting the stuff out of the house and out of your easy reach. Just pick yourself up and move on from here. No need to continue to beat yourself up.  You have done so well and come so far. This is a momentary blip on your journey. I think this will give you a renewed purpose and determination to make it to your goal. I know you can do this! Love ya girl!!

Juanita, I know how you feel.  I've been having a terrible time with my depression and anxiety lately...which is why you haven't seen me on the boards.  I haven't been turning to food though. I've been sleeping which is my way of escaping my problems.  My bf must thing that I'm Rip Van Winkle. You might try exercising b/c it helps with the endorphins.  Although lately I've been having to push myself.  So has my bf or "coach" as I now refer to him as.  I don't know the reason for my depression...well I know what part of it is and the fact that I haven't been able to share with anyone except for a small few is taking a toll.   I'm so sorry you are experiencing this.  If you need a therapist, pm me and I can give you my therapist's number.  She is excellent! Or if you need to talk, just call me.  My number is on the list.  Or if you don't have it, pm me for that as well.  I wish I could say something to make it better, but if it were that easy, then I'd be doing better myself. You're in my prayers.

You know what Juanita.  Any one of us could have signed our name to your post, and it would have been just as true.  We each have our own demons to battle...  those things that trigger our eating...  our struggles with food... and breaking the old thought patterns.  I think it is so good that we can, like a family, discuss it out in the open.  We each receive strength from our confessions...  because if we are honest with ourselves, let me say IF I AM HONEST WITH MYSELF, I would have to admit that I have issues too...  and that sometimes fear or being overly concerned of what others will think of me keeps me from reaching out to others for help. But, that's why its so important to put those good habits into place VERY EARLY ON in our journeys!  If any of us are going to be a success for the long term, we have to win the war in our minds...  one battle and struggle at a time.  We have to conquer our thoughts, our desires, our self will for sweets, carbs, candies, etc.  It has to come from deep within us... the ability to muster up that "stick-tuitiveness" if there is such a word...  peversevering til we accomplish our goals first of all, next, persevering to maintain...  I am going to repost something that I had on my website...  Look for it under title "perseverance"
