Received Baratric Samples

Received my sample kit from BariatriEating.com..  First thing I tried was Nectar Lemon Tea NASTY.  I mixed it like packaged said. It didn't taste like Tea, it was foamy, and had a oder. I even encouraged Debbie to try it, she didn't have to say anything her face said it all.  So is there a better way to fix it?  I added 16 oz of  very cold water to the mixing container shook it up and tried to drink it. I like the EAS shakes and the Crystal Lite I don't want to waste this stuff so trying to give it the best chance. Bob

What do ya mean it's nasty?  LOL I think it's like eating Poi in Hawaii, just a cruel joke!  Keep trying the stuff, you'll find something you'll like, or you'll get creative and come up with a flavor of your own!

Sometimes you just gotta say, glad we gotta a choice!!!! Sounds alittle like that Unjury. Yuke, I didn't like that at all. I've got to order more. Thanks for the input. Barb

I haven't tried the Nectar yet I usually use the Designer Whey chocolate and the vanilla they taste pretty good I can tolerate them, I also drink those Isopure with water and lots of Ice added to them. Vita lady has a few that are good and her samples are reasonable also,  you might want to try some of hers, not sure if I can post her website on here but if you would like to know her website just message me.  Wish I could help you out more but thats all I got for now. Yo Scott your a funny Guy...... NOT! HaHa  Ya I tried the Muscle Milk Chocolate pudding not bad a little rubbery but taste good I give it a 7, 10 being the best and tried IDS Liquid Protein Fruit Punch 42g it was thick tasted good give it a 7.. I'll keep trying. C' Ya Bob

Wait until after surgery to try your samples. I can guarantee that your tastes will change. What you don't like now just may turn out to be your favorite post op and what you like now may taste like monkey butt after surgery.

Susan,  Monkey Butt would have tasted better then Nectar Tea. But I'm going to be on liquid pre-op too, so I thought I would find some things I could handle now. Right? I know not to buy quantity till after in-case taste change.Thanks Bob

Susan is sooooooooo right about your taste changing.  I loved the muscle milk before surgery and a few others but after surgery they made me want to  so I ended up having to try more samples before I found the one I could handle. Wish you lots of luck! Donna

Hey Bob!  Like everyone else has said, your tastes will change after surgery.  I also bought the sample kit from BE.  So far I haven't found anything that really tastes good.  I took a big chance and ordered a 2lb jug of the Nectar Carribbean Cooler.  I don't like it mixed with plain water but mixing it with Crystal Light Raspberry Lemonade or regular CL Lemonade is really good.  I have a 20 oz glass(blender bottle) every morning before work.  Gives me 20 oz of liquids and 23g of protein.  I'm still in search of the "perfect" protein drink!! Hey Bob, it's me again!  The Lemon Tea was beyond nasty but the Apple Ecstasy was even worse to me.  Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you got that flavor in your sample pack. Melissa
