Port is not flat

I am one month into my lapband(go for my first fill tomorrow)and was wondering if anyone else's port does not lay flat. Mine tilts out at the top. Dr Spaw said he shouldn't have any problem accessing it and that they stitch them down nice and flat but sometimes they don't stay that way. I am thinking about getting one of those old fashioned bras with the wide band at the bottom to see if it will flatten it out. I dispatch for a living so i sit for 12 hour shifts and that might have something to do with it. Anyone else have this problem??

My port is visible at this point (now that I am close to goal).  I can feel it right under my skin and can feel it when I lay down on my stomach.  It doesn't really bother me, tho.

I wonder if it might flatten out more as you lose weight. Just a thought.

I had my LapBand on 08/21 of last year. I have had no problems what so ever with my port. Sometimes it may feel a little off side, but doesn't stick out or anything like that. You setting for 12 hours may have something to do with it. I would be sure to tell the doctor when you go for your first fill. So good to see more LapBander's on here. Wish you luck with your journey. Keep us posted. Cheryl

I am back from my first fill! 3.6c.c.'s I had only gained 1 lb the past 2 weeks. With the 15lb loss on my first vist it still means I have lost 14lbs since my surgery 1 month ago. I am feeling good about my port now, since the nurse didn't have any problems accessing it and I know the process doesn't hurt much. Thanks for all your input.
