OT Moving to Chattanooga, TN

Well, he got it!!!!!  Are we crazy?  My husband accepted (officially) the job in Chattanooga, TN.  We both put in our notices on Friday!  I'm so freaked out over this....what are we doing?!  We are currently both working full-time...we own a house.  My husband was laid off about 5 years ago...causing us to make some decisions that affected our credit.  So, we won't be able to buy again for a while.  This opportunity will allow us to get out of debt, I'll get to stay home for a while with our boys (no daycare!)....and, it is a GREAT job for him with potential for growth.  Neither one of us were going anywhere in our current jobs.  Anyway, more information than you wanted to know.  We are leaving friends and family....It isn't that far.  It is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours from where we are now....So, that isn't bad.  I just don't know where we are going to live!  Our whole family LOVES Chattanooga....So, we are excited about the move.  Just a lot of stress with me not working, moving, new job...all of that! If any of you have a rental home or know someone who does in the Chattanooga area, could you let me know?  We are looking at rent around $800-$1000 in a decent area.  We have a 5 year old and a 5 month old.  Oh....and a black lab that is kenneled whenever we are away.  He is a GREAT dog!  Once we move, we won't be going anywhere anytime soon....so, someone will have long-time tenants....at least 2 years. I know this is off topic, but I would like to get to know you guys since I'll be one of you soon.  :)  The GA board is a bit slow...but, all of these boards are great for support and getting to know people. Hi Stephanie!  Congrats on your great news. I am in GA moving to TN also, however I will be heading to Knoxville, Im excited about it for sure. Someone on the board told me to check on craigslist.com, that is a wonderful site, you may want to check it out to find a home.  We will be TN residents come March 19th. Welcome to Chattanooga! Walking is so easy around here...the Riverwalk, across the Walnut street bring at sunset. You're gonna love it with spring coming up....... I can't wait to meet you. Folks here seem to forget that meeting face to face and even going for a walk with someone can be motivational. I can walk lots longer when there's someone to talk to besides my sweet husband whose flat feet bother him. I don't rent but......there is lots available.
