I just wanted to let you all know that I am so greatful to have found this site. My only regret is that I did not find it sooner. It really does make a difference to know that there are people out there going thru exactly what you are and no one is judging you. I am looking forward to meeting bunches of new friends and getting advice from those who have been down this road before. I actually live in VA but prefer to post on TN froum because my surgeon is in TN. Wishing everyone that I come in contact with on this forum the best of luck in their own journey and always remember...life is not measured by the breaths that you take but by the moments that take your breath away .....

Welcome Rebecca!  You must live close to the border to be using a Tennessee surgeon, or are you just having to drive to find a surgeon who can handle your special needs due to your prior Nissen surgery?

Actually I live on the border. I am about 45 minutes from Kingsport where my doctor is . He used to practice at the Hospital in VA. where my husband works but he moved about 18 months ago. He has a real good reputation and has even had this type of surgery himself. I will follow him wherever he goes.

I hear you girl. When you find the surgeon that is right for you, you know it. I'm glad you have a surgeon who gives you that secure feeling. I'm sure he must be good or you wouldn't be going to him. I wish you a speedy approval and surgery date. Keep us posted on your progress. Jump in anywhere on the board so we can get to know you too.
