Im not feeling all that great this evening, so I will keep this short. My eating did not fare too well today, although I did eat gastric friendly all the way. My tummy has been upset and I've got "issues" which sent me to the gyn. Here are my choices, and I hope that tomorrow fares much better. Breakfast: Fiber One cereal Early Morning Protein: nectar cappuccino in my coffee Lunch: lasagna (made with stir fry vegs) Mid Afternoon Protein: nectar cherry and Crystal lite berry flavor powder Supper: lasagna (I had a ton of leftovers) snack: a little bit of cubed watermelon

Does anyone mind if I post my food too? I haven't had surgery yet but am on the 6 month supervised diet. Maybe you all will have suggestions for me about my food. What do you think? Karen

Thanks. I haven't eaten yet today but here is my menu for yeterday. I'm supposed to stay under 1400 calories. Breakfast 1 slice double fiber whole wheat bread 2 eggs poached 204 calories, 8 carbs Lunch Lean Cuisine Glazed Chicken 220 calories, 24 carbs Snack mini carrot cakes 100 calories, 16 carbs Dinner 6 oz leftover meat loaf Medium baked sweet potato 1 cup sauerkraut 2 tbsp light margarine 743 calories, 37 carbs Snack 1/2 cup rainbow sherbet 110 calories, 27 carbs Total calories 1377 Total carbs 112 This seems like a lot of carbs for a diabetic but I seem to do better eating in moderation instead of low carbing. My last A1c was 5.4.  I know this will have to change radically after surgery. Blessings, Karen

Karen Just joggled my memory.  If you like sherbert, Publix has a sugar free sherbert, their brand.  It's the only one I have ever come across, and its very good.  So in maintenance after wls, you will still be able to enjoy the taste of sherbert.  Just an FYI for anyone who might want to know.... and loves sherbert like I do.

Thanks, Melinda. I appreciate the info. I've heard of Publix but don't know of any in our area. I will be on the lookout for one though. Blessings, Karen
