The Doctor called just a little while ago. The verdict is hyperthroyidism. The treatment for me is going to be radioactive idonine in pill form. This will kill the thyroid and when I get to the underactive thyroid I will go on meds to regulate it for the rest of my life. This is better than what it could have been. I would like to ask for prayers while I go through this. They are talking about starting on the 22nd of November and go back to see her in 6 weeks. The only thing I hate is that I cannot let anyone touch me near my neck for 2 days and as much I love my grandkids and husband and kids no one can get near my neck and here it is Thanksgiving. I wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. I am trying to be postive about this butit is not that easy. I am so glad to hear that Tinkerbell is doing better and the same with all the others that I have been praying for.

I am sorry !! You won't have to have the surgery will you? My gf had it and she has body image issues with the incisional scar on the front of her neck. I am glad that you will be getting treatment to keep you healthy !!! When are your state boards? There is nothing better than going to the professional licensure website and seeing your name with that license. Ohhhhhhh..and dont know if you need any CEU's yet but there is an AWESOME conference worth 6 CEUs on Obesity coming to Richmond !!! I am going to the one in Norfolk ..but I will scan the letter if you would like to see what the lectures are !!! Congrats on that again !!! i have all my paperwork filled out for the NP classes and taking a few online classes here and there..still not sure about jumping in head first yet !! No I will not be having the surgery yet. I will more than likely take my RMA sometime in December or January. The CMA is only done 3 times a year and I have already missed out for the next one so it will be sometime next year. Yea I know I have to take a certain number of CRU"S in the next 5 years. So far that I know of I only have to have the Idione therpy and then when I get down to below normal I will be put on meds to regulate it.
