I need a contact overseas....

Hello everyone!! This is going to be quick as I have no time today to do ANYTHING...heck, I am working right now, and need to get back on the road I am a leader of a girlscout troop, and we are gearing up to sell cookies. Every year since the war has started, we collect boxes to send to the troops. Well, this year will be no different, other than we have no contact person to send them to. And without that, DOD will not let us send them. So, here is the question. DO you know of someone serving right now who will be over there till the summer, willing to take approx 30-60 boxes of cookies and pass them out to whoever would like some?? I just need a contact to send them to, and I would like a picture or two of our cookies in the hands of soldiers so the girls can take some pride in their work. That is all I ask for in return. They also made valentines last night, and I would like to send those ASAP...but again need a contact person. Thanks for any help you may be able to give me!! Dianna

I work for the Defense Contract Management Agency. We have folks stationed there and we regularly send care boxes to these folks. You can give them to me to include in their boxes if you want. Are you going to Richmond? You can bring them or you can send them to me or maybe you can work a deal with a troop here to deliver to me? I'm in Springfield,VA CathyA

My son is over there right now and I know that he and the other soldiers would like cookies. And I know that he would do alot more than take a few pictures for you as well. Jill

Jill , I had no idea you have a son over there . Please tell him as well as the others supporting our country that we applaud their efforts and pray for all of their safe return. Nat- That is really nice of you. I KNOW they will enjoy them. But...yes, my oldest son is in the Army, and is currently over in Trikrite (sp). He is the absolute light of my life, and I worry about him every day. Fortunately, I work for the Army, so he can call me on his DSN line and send me email....but....I still worry. He deployed a few days after Thanksgiving and is suppose to be back in Aril. But...I am not holding my breath on that one. I expect him to be extended - but...we shall see. This morning was really hard, because he finally sent me a picture. First one I've seen since he's been gone. He looks like a little boy playing Army - I've attached his picture in my album. But...he's the greatest! Thanks Again..... Jill

Dianna, While I am not Military I have a buddy that his Delta force group is currently on their second tour in Afaganstan. He runs a small clinc at their base camp unless there out hunting. They should be back around March time frame send me a PM and I can get the information from you. Will

Dianna- If you're spreading the cookies/valentine's out I have a friend's brother who is over there and loves getting and passing out goodies. Email me or respond and I can send you his address...I'm sure he wouldn't mind sending a picture or two back. Christina S
