Sorry Mo I didn't have that doc. But I recently had my surgery. The 2 week diet is not so bad and it will help with the weight loss. Just keep your eye on the prize girlfriend and you will be fine. As for the big day...I packed a lot and only used my lip balm and clean underwear. That's it. I packed jammies and kept the hospital gown on and be prepared to walk right after....if you do you will prevent bloodclots and speed up the healing. I couldn't lay in the bed and had to sit up most of the time. My back ached. I didn't really have any real pain until the second day when they took the morphine pump away. Do not hesitate to ask for your meds. I had a nurse that acted like I was putting her out...well too dang bad that is her job. Stand up for yourself and your needs. You will do great!!! I am so excited for you!!! Just wait till you experience your first wow moment. Wooooohoooo your on your way girlfriend!!! Feel free to mesage me any questions you have. Anna

Thanks a lot that is really helpful. I think what I am really worried about is the liquied diet. I don't to mess up with that. Did you have like a last big meal. If so at point of the liquid did you do that. I want to have like a gathering at my house or something. Mo

Hey Mo! I am not familiar with Dr. Lin so I can't advise you on that. I was not required to do a liquid diet so I can't help there either. But I can tell you, relax. Enjoy the journey, don't get overwhelmed with the details. You have lots of support here. I used my pj bottoms, slippers, undies, chapstick, brush, comb, and that is about it while I was in the hospital. Take a pillow to cushion your belly for the ride home. Definitely be prepared to walk. It will help you feel better, and speed your healing. As for after surgery. The hardest thing for me to adjust to was the pureed diet. It was so frustrating having to specially prepare my food, schedule my whole day around my meals and vitamins, and I felt so abnormal compared to my family members. Just remember that that only lasts a few weeks and then you get to go back to normal and the schedule becomes such a part of your daily routine and as you start dropping the weight and feeling better, the struggle from the beginning becomes a faint memory. Best to you on your journey. Courtney

Thanks you so much Ms Courtney, I just want to be prepared for everything. I am going this weekend to get my vitamins and my protein drinks. What do you recommend for hte protein drink. I know Dr. Lin send his patients home drinking Ensure. I was told to also get the Whey unflavored kind so I can add to my puree and soft stuff. Mo

I prefer the Isopure Zero Crb protein mix, Dutch Chocolate flavor. Getting a unflavored kind to mix with stuff if a great idea also. Sounds like you are right on track in getting prepared. Courtney
