Surgery Update (Non-WLS that is)
I guess I have had my head in the sand--or red VA clay. I didn't know you were having mastectomies. Congratulations on what seems to be good outcomes. I had a colleague, years aog, who opted for bilateral. She didn't have PS either. At home she wore no bra and only used padding at work. She was so well adjusted about this, that I hoped if I have to face the same thing, that I emulate her.
You all have great courage. Thanks for sharing your story.

Kathy,
I am glad to hear that you are doing well! I hope you are back on your feet soon! Rich sounds like he is just great in his support for you. Good guys are hard to find but it sounds like you've got a real good one! Please keep us informed with your progress. Your courage and practical thinking is quite an inspiration to us all! I'm sending positive vibes your way! Take care!

Sorry that this is the first I have gotten around to writing to you but please don't think that means I was not thinking about you. I am glad to hear that your surgery went well and that you are home and feeling better than expected. I haven't seen any emails from you for the past couple of days - I hope that does not mean that you are feeling ill - just that you are resting.
Kathy you have a great deal of strength and courage and I hope if I ever have to face what you are facing I can do it with the same courage that you have done!
Take care of yourself
hugs
Jackie
