PS surgery canceled

Oh I am so disapointed I could just cry. It seems my surgeon has been out of the country this past week. He was sched to fly back to JFK this eveing. I am sched for my PS at 10 am on monday. It's been paid for weeks now. Due to the snow storm 1400 flights have been canceled. He cannot get back into the US. So NO surgery for me on monday. Have no idea when It will be now. It depends on when he can get back and when they can get OR time. So Bummed, Susan

Susan, I am so sorry your surgery was cancelled. Not that you are not already beautiful, but it is hard enough to sike yourself up in the first place -- but to almost get there and now to have to change.... Hang in there, I'm sure it will be rescheduled quickly. Honestly, would you want a guy operating you after just getting back from a long trip? Seems like it would better to have him well rested. Thanks Cathy, It's so true, I have been a nervous wreck about this for the last few days. And I am siked and prepared. I have arranged time off from work and others have been re-arranged to cover me while I am gone. I have help coming to stay with me. And my daughter and hubby also planned days off to come and help me. It just throws a wrench in the whole thing. I have been cleaning like a mad woman trying to get everything in order so as I sit on the couch recovering it will not drive me insane. By the time my surgery is resched. It will be dirty again. I guess things could be worse. Have a great rest of the weekend, Susan

Awww Susan, so sorry to hear that it is going to have to be rescheduled.....I know you were getting anxious. Hopefully they will get ya rescheduled real soon.....keep us informed, okay? Wow, I didn't realize that many flights have been cancelled. I am currently in Alaska and supposed to fly back to DC tomorrow.....guess there won't be any empty seats, huh. Susan- I agree with Cathy A...you want him well rested. Also, since they know you had things arranged, I'm sure they'll try to get you rescheduled quickly. Hang in there...it'll be back on before you know it! Christina S

Thanks Patty, Christina and Kathy. Guess I just have to sit and wait it out. Very bummed. It's making me want to snack.(ha ha) Thursday will be my two year anniversary. Maybe that will be the day for me? It was a great day for me 2 years ago. Kathy, how are you feeling? Susan
