Surgery this Friday

Everything is a go for this Friday morning. I think I am ready --- mentally and physically. I have everything in the house that I should need afterward. I would love any advice - you know any little tips on making the process easier/ more comfortable. I plan to take a pillow with me in the car like many of you suggest. Anything else will be appreciated.

Sounds like you are prepared Julia. A pillow is definitely a great idea. I suggest some chapstick and pj's (at least the bottoms). Courtney

Julia, Not to sure how you will feel after surgery, but by the next day I was wishing that I brought a hair brush and a tooth brush, luckly the hospital had them for me..... Good luck, Minette

Julia, I'll be thinking about you and sending all kinds of good "vibes" your way on Friday and beyond as you recover. I'm new as well - I'm in the waiting for insurance approval stage - but hope ot have good news to share soon. Thanks everyone --- I really appreciate the support - guidance - thoughts and prayers. You all seem so happy with your decision to have the surgery that it has given me courage to go forward with mine.

I brought my own pjs...the pants and tee/sweatshirt kind. Personally, I felt so much better once I put on my own clothes...I just had to roll down the waistband to avoid the incision but otherwise I was way more comfy roaming the halls without worrying about things (my butt) LOL falling out of the hospital gown and I didn't have to worry about getting twisted up.
