I have a date!!
May 23, 2007 is my new favorite day of the year!!
I've clearly been visited by the WLS fairy! If all goes well, I'll get to come home from the hospital on May 25 - my real birthday...guess I'm celebrating this year with a candle in some lemon jello
but it will be so worth it!
It's all falling into place so quickly, it's almost too good to be true! After a two week vacation to Europe later this month, followed by 2 weeks of cross country traveling with a client, I'll only have one more week to get nervous and excited...and to get my act together. Friday I head to Dr. Anez's office to pick up my pre-op package so that I can schedule the tests and nutritional day.
Any suggestions and tips for success will be gratefully accepted! Can't wait to be a member of the losers bench! Take care all...Wish me luck!
Hugs,
Chele
PS - Lanette - are you still around? Will we be doing this together??? I'd love to hear from you.

That is great news Chele. Do you have an angel yet? I would like to offer my services. My first suggestion is about protein. Go to different websites like www.vitalady.com and www.unjury.com and order samples of different kinds of protein so that you can try a bunch (after surgery because you may find that your tastes change some) and that way you can find some you really like. Make sure to have all of your vitamins on hand. Buy lots of easy foods like oatmeal, yogurt, cottage cheese, no sugar added applesauce, and such for home. After my first few days I pretty much just pureed what ever meat & veggies was made for the meal. Dr Anez & Sally are the best. We are all here for you. Can't wait to welcome you to the losing side.

Courtney,
Thank you sooooo much....I don't have an angel and would be so thrilled to accept your offer. This means so much to me - thank you so much! I look forward to the chance to to pay the favor forward to someone who comes after me on this journey.
I'll definitely take the protein advice - good to know what might work ahead of time. And soft-food shopping is definitely on the agenda when we get back. Thankfully I love cottage chese, yoghert and applesauce so I should be good for at least the first few days.
Thanks again so much! Have a great day!
