It's working...
Amber what was this diet that was suggested to you?? I am just about 5 months out,slow looser im at 67 pds down but been stuck now for about 5 weeks .I have also been sick so im sure this is no help as well.I really want to get under the 200 mark and I only have like 3 pds...wahhhhhhhhh...Share???..lol
Hey Naomi, sorry to hear you are struggling. Basically its how we eat anyway, but really cutting the carbs out.
I eat beef, chicken, fish, lamb, etc. Low fat cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, legumes, beans, peanut butter etc. (3 oz 5 x a day) At least 2 qts of water and exercise for 30 minutes each day. Do this for 10 days. Pretty much getting rid of my goldfish, chex mix, peanuts, and fruit.
My day basically consists of a 6oz Carb controlle yogurt in the morning (I get 15 grams of protein from this) I have a LF String cheese for a snack. I'll eat 2oz of some kind of meat for lunch with an oz or two of cottage cheese. I'll have a piece of celery with peanut butter on it for a snack. More meat/fish for lunch with green beans. and a Blue Bunny Health Smart Popsicle for dinner.
The surprising benefit from this is it eliminated the hunger for me. I was always hungry before and now I'm not hungry and I'm feeling full again. I do miss my fruit tremendously though. I'm probably going to keep this up for a while. I had to slip a little yesterday because of the desserts, but I did make all my desserts low fat and sugar free, so it wasn't a complete screw-up. I'm back to basics this morning and still down 2 pounds!
