Moving to Hampton Roads in July

I will be moving to Newport News in July. I will be having surgery April 25 in Austin, Texas. I am looking for a good surgeon to do my followup care in the Hampton Roads area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, ~Dana~

Dana, The Weight Loss Surgery Center in Newpot News has two great surgeons, Drs. Clark and Terracina. There are also monthly support meetings. Check out their website! Dr. Terracina performed my surgery in November and I've been well satisfied with my treatment. Good luck and welcome. CeCe

Dana, I'm Tricare as well but Tricare Standard. Some Tricare Prime patients have also had surgery with the center so I guess it just depends. I changed from Prime to Standard since there was a long wait at Portsmouth Naval (the only military hospital around here that performs the surgery.). It's not a long drive to Portsmouth but Newport News would be more convenient. CeCe

The Weight Loss Surgery Center of Hampton Rhoads is the bomb!. Dr. Terricena performed my surgery on 3/19 and it was the greatest adventure. His staff is very supportive. They accept Tricare Prime and Standard. When you call ask to speak with Cat, she will tell you what you need to do. Sheila

Dr. C ROCKS!!!!! He is at the WLSC in Hampton Rds. Had my surgery with him 3-05 and not a signle solitary issue!!!!! I too have Tricare Prime and no issue getting approval for a civilan surgeon after getting referred to Porstmouth Naval. Have a safe journey, both in weight loss and to VA. DeeDee

You cannot go wrong with Dr.'s Clark and Terracina. They are awesome. Their after-care program is phenomenal. I'm in Hampton, which is a hop , skip and jump from NN. Here's my email [email protected]. Drop me a line when you get into to town and I can help you "navigate" your new territory.
