No problem Robin. You are at the stage where it starts to get really old and you just want to move on. Remeber you are still healing and they set the rules for a reason. When you move on to regular food be careful because sometimes the full feeling doesn't feel the same as it did before surgery, just listen to your body and go slowly. Courtney

Your post was dead on for me to read tonight. I am struggling a bit with what to eat at this "soft food" stage - the variety and you gave me motivation for the rest of this stage. Your comments about the next stage was also helpful. I was wondering how will I ever go on to eat regular food again and will my new pouch not feel strange forever. At this point I can't really tell when I am full - so I stop eating to insure I don't overeat. Thanks so much. Julia

I am glad I could help Julia. Definitely keep with your measuring for you food right now. You are still healing and you might not start feeling "full" until you start regular food. Also remember that the full feeling might feel differently than it used to before surgery so jus****ch your body and go slowly. Courtney

Thanks for all of that very helpful advice. I'm still preop - my surgery is set for next Tues. 4/24. Of course, my pantry is stocked with my 4 day fasting stuff, broth, water - and then for later - some soft sf pudding, sf jellos, tuna (ack!), shrimp, Atkins shakes (b/c I actually LIKE them), crystal light.... I plan on getting some Isopure and yogurt, cottage cheese a few weeks down the line...lol. ALL of your experiences and advice comes in handy. I'm beginning to stress a little about the food/drink timing and stuff. Is it best to keep some sort of log or something? Thanks! xo Joy

Joy, glad you found some useful information. Sounds like you are stocked up and ready to roll. Don't stress about the timing thing. It will become second nature to you. Depending on your situation it might help to write out a sample day. For instance if you wake up around the same time every day, go to work, have a set lunch period, set dinner time, bed time etc. write up a sample schedule working in all of your vitamins, meals, protein, and water. Best to you as you begin your journey. Courtney
