NO SUMMER EVENT PLANNED FOR RICHMOND...PLEASE READ

Sorry peeps- I just don't have it in me...work is bustin' my nuts and my three kids in buttloads of activities (ballet, soccer practices, soccer games, baseball practices, baseball games, gymnastics for both girls on different days...) It's taken a toll on me beyond belief. That and my company has sold to a hotel group out of FL and while I am pretty sure my job is safe, not everyones is, and that is making work a walking on eggshells and very stressful. Lucky for my sales office we booked over 47% of the room revenue and 100% of the F&B for 2007 and our #'s and overall rate is up up up as well, not to mention the fact that if we go, and end up at another hotel, our clients follow us... Anyhoo- I do have one request: put aside the $$ you would have spent on the summer event NOW - because I am taking the January 2008 event "On The Road" - - and it will NOT be in Richmond, so I will not be able to swing the incredible deals I have in the past. To compensate I will probably have ONE major evening event, and everything else will be on your own. I am in negotiations with the venue now - and hope to finalize with contracts next week. Trust me though - it will be worth the wait!!! That's all I can say without totally spilling the beans - but until I sign the contract I don't want to let the proverbial cat outta the bag!
