Any suggestions?
Hi, I am new to the forum. I am currently trying to get approval for bariatric surgery, but I am having a hard time getting my information from the doctor's office into the insurance company. Twice the doctor's office stated they have sent the necessary information into my insurance company and my insurance company states they have not received anything. I even have my Benefits Administrator involved as well. Has anyone encountered this? It's been over two months now of going back and forth... any suggestions?
LaDonna , I would ask to see where they faxed it and the confirmation page . This will tell you when and what time it was sent .
Then if they can provide it , get back on the phone with the insurance company . This is not the norm . I would get a manager on the phone and tell them your cir****tances . DO NOT STOP .. Until you get answers and confirmation that they have your paperwork .
If for some reason , the doctors office is messing with you and are not doing their jobs , I would file a formal complaint and start looking for another surgeon ... as his staff is a reflection of him ... In my opinion .
