Chesapeake, VA runaway

Hi everyone - I had WLS in Nov. 2006 and I am mainly on the South Carolina board. I'm posting here because I don't know what else to do. My neice, Maegan Taylor, ran away from home on Monday, April 16, 2007. I was just hoping someone might have a daughter or son that might know her and might know where she is. She is 17 and is a senior at Indian River High School. She is about 5'2", 130lbs, short blond hair and blue eyes. She left school early on Monday and we haven't heard from her since. We had already talked about her coming to live with me this summer and I know she wants to. Susan, I am so sorry to hear that your niece ran away. My son is 17 but goes to a different high school. I asked him if he knows anyone by that name or anyone that goes to that school. He does not know her but does know a few people from that school so I asked him to talk to them and ask them about her. If we find out anything I will let you know. Susan, Check myspace.com or teenspot.com if she has an account or just to check for one. You might be able to track her down from her "friends". My kids go to a VA beach school but I will ask them to keep their ears open. Jen

Thanks, Jen. I have seen her myspace.com account. Gloomy, huh? I haven't checked teenspot. I'll do that now. The last time she was on myspace was Monday. A couple of my friends have left her emails to call me. I haven't heard anything yet. I did find out that she called her friend's stepsister yesterday and told her that she was fine and that she was going to call her dad and tell him she wasn't going to come home until she turned 18 (July 29). So I'm not as worried as I was because at least I know she isn't dead somewhere. But I'm still worried about her so much. I want her to come down here and live with me so I can give her the love and attention she needs so badly. Thank you for all your help, Susan

Maegan called her dad last night. She is fine and is staying with a friend. Maegan is going to go home today to get some things and then leave again. I don't understand this child but she thinks she is going to be happy being a high school dropout with no job and no family to support her. Whatever. Jeff told her I wanted her to come down here and live with me and that I have a job lined up for her. She said she didn't want to leave all her friends. Oh well. I guess she is going to have to learn the hard way. Thank you to all of you who looked for her. I really appreciate it and I hope that she will be okay. Susan
