I haven't updated in a bit so I thought I would. He has another infection and he got really down with this one his heart rate and apnea was going up and down alot so they put him on a ventilator last week. He is doing better now they took him off the ventilator Sunday, he is still on a cpap and has had a few episodes of his heart rate and apnea going up and down but it has gotten better. He is fighting so hard with everything this little guy has had to endure so far. He weighs 2 lbs 11 oz. They did away with his feeding up until Sunday but have started that back but only 3 cc. every 3 hours and are not going to go up on that right now since he is still fighting the infection. Our family really appreciates all of the positive feedback, prayers and comments we have received. Please continue to pray he still has a long road ahead of him. Proud Grandma Laurie

Hang in there! I know it can be an emotional roller coaster when you have a child(grandchild) in the nicu. I use to be a mother of a nicu baby and thank God he's now 7yrs. old. God is giving Baby Carson strength to fight and that is a blessing. I struggled so much with my child in nicu that I became so depressed and I couldn't understand what I did wrong in my pregnancy. As I prayed God revealed that I had did nothing wrong ,he just only wanted me to appreciate the life he had given me, no matter what the cir****tances was and that I had to get my self together and continue to pray and ecourage my lil one, his nicu nurses and specialist. I look back 7 years ago to date (my son was born 03-30-00) and I thank God for giving me patience, strength and endurance. I and as well as my family are forever greatful for the bond that we share with him because it is somewhat different. We know that God gave us all someone to look up to and when ever we're feeling down or have lack of faith we look at how 7 years ago God gave my infant nicu baby breath and strength to fight! He taught us to never give up! I will continue to pray for you and your family! I pray that you embrace this experience like no other because it is very unique and not very many people get a blessing opportunity like this to grow and learn from life. Baby Carson is a fighter and in the End he will Triumph over all! God Bless you Baby Carson We are Cheering for You!
