WLS with FMS Outcomes

I was diagnosed with FMS 6 years ago, but of course had symptoms much earlier. Both my husband and I are approved for either type of surgery (lap or BP) and have studied the pros and cons till we're blue in the face. I am particularly interested to know what other Fibromyalgia patients have experienced after surgery. Does the trauma of the surgery increase the FMS symptoms? Or, does weight loss decrease the FMS? Hey Mary, I have RA and just wanted to let you know that my surgeon said that oftentimes people with autoimmune disorders have problems with their bodies rejecting the actual band used in the lap band surgery. I never heard that before but it made sense. Christine
