Did You Move Today? Saturday April 28th
Well - looks like it might be a nice day. At least the sun was shining when I woke up.
So, what are you doing to move today???
Me? Today will be 45 minutes on the ellipticle and then 20 minutes on the Total Body Gym. I swear, I am addicted to that!
And dependong on when I finish getting things done here, I may head to the beach to walk the 4.75 miles on the board walk. We shall see.......

HI Jill, I just got back from a 3.5-mile walk with the dog to Ocean View. It was a really nice morning for a walk - so we just kept going and going until we got to the bay.
I'll probably swim some laps later and do some ab and upper body work too.
After following your advice to do some stretching yesterday to get the toxins out that were making me sore, I felt so much better that I went for a swim. That helped stretch me out even more and all the soreness was gone this morning. Yeah!!!!

Well as of yesterday I am trying to get back into working out..With this pain I get in my shoulder it throws me in for a loop as soon as I get active but at this point Im loosing slow and I need to pick it up because I have this very snug ,strapless gown to wear for my best friends wedding in september..grr..Anyways..yesterday I did some walking at the track on post..not sure how much because my husband keeps saying it's a quarter of a mile and I think it's more of a half of mile..but I did 4 laps before I got into to much pain with the ol shoulder,I also did my machine at home (body by jake)for about 20 minutes..Today (actually in about 5 or so minutes)I am heading with hubby to the gym on post..I have this thing about working out in front of people so he is going with me to incourage me..Hope it works.
Have you had your shoulder looked? You should - could be a real problem.
Personally, i would stick to walking and avoid anything that involved my shoulder, until I had it looked at. You don't want to damage it, because that is no fun at all.
My hip flexors keep going out on me, and I went to a chiropracter and found out that my hips were out of alignment, thanks to the excess weight and then the quick weight loss. So, after seeing her a few times and working with the personal trainer, I have learned to consider them when exercising.

I did some mambo dancing this morning as a form of exercise for 20 minutes. Will take a walk this evening!!
I saw the doctor yesterday because my left shoulder has been bothering me since I have been back to exercising full force. He says I have bursitis in it and gave me a shot of cortisone in it..Today i still feel the pain..I worked out but took it easy on my shoulders..just did the lower arms and rest of the body. He said I was doing too much without focusing on my form when I was doing it. So I am slowing down, I am not dropping off the exercise...Jus****ching my quality and the way I am doing it ..to make sure I don't injure myself further. Please everyone...slow down and watch that form...as to not injure yourselves. Afterall, I was told it is the quality not the quanity.

I have had my shoulder looked at twice .They just kind of blow me off about it.At first I thought maybe I was getting the "gas" build up they were talking about that can happen but when I mentioned it to my cardioligist he said that it's most likley not that because I would have the pain in all motions..So who knows..My husbands cousin is a chiroprator maybe I should give her a call and see what she may think..She's to far for me to go and see (washington state).It's an idea tho..I did ok at the gym..not what I really wanted to achive but it's a start.I did the bike for 20 mins,and tried this stair climber looking thing they had..that was funny..and then I was done..Im heading out to the party and am hoping to get some walking in tonight as well.
Well I don't get the chance to move every day because of having two jobs but I do try to get in 3 or 4 days a week in the gym. This has been something I have been struggling to get back into since my gall bladder surgery. I am proud to say that I made it to the gym 3 times this week for full workouts. I am hoping to go out tonight and get some dancing in too (if I can get my sweetie motivated).
