Hey Patricia. I am not quite sure what you mean by hurt yourself. Do you mean physically because you think it is stuck or something or do you mean in general because you tested the waters and are afraid you have hurt your weightloss? Most all of us test the waters. I had RNY so I am not familiar with how the band works so I can't give great advice. I suspect if you only did it once it probably isn't a major thing but it is something to learn from. The surgery is our tool but it doesn't fix the mental issues. Eating the wrong things can hurt our progress and keep us under the same demons as before. We have to learn to control it. That is something I struggle with every day. Try to conquer those demons and teach yourself to stay away from the bad stuff. Keep your chin up, you are doing great and you can make it through this. I would have to ask you why you would even do this so soon after surgery? You proably have not done any damage to yourself but hopefully it will serve as a warning to not do it again. Ypu need to learn new eating habits and it is best to do it from the beginning otherwise your surgery has less chance of being so successful for you. Jackie

Lol! yes you should! We all all from grace occasionally but I am just concerned that you will ruin this second chance to be healthy that you have been given..... Good luck with your knee replacement Pat Jackie

With the lap band and the fact that you don't have the dumping issues it can be harder because you have to work more on the mental side. I think we all know better but sometimes it is hard. This is something I have been struggling a lot with lately and have really had to get some advice and support from the board. When you feel the urge to eat something you shouldn't try taking a walk, cleaning, eating a healthy snack or something that will keep you occupied and away from the bad foods. It is a lot easier said than done. Courtney
