Hi everyone I saw my surgeon today for my check up. I was nervous because I wanted to discuss with them that I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon on may 9th (next wednesday!!). To my surprise, the physician's assistant agreed that I absolutely need it done. She examines my abdomen and mons pubis and inner thighs and said she didnt see any reason why i wouldnt qualify for it. She did say she wanted me to lose a little more weight, and i told her everything i am doing to try to lose more and she said that i am probably building muscle..to be patient the loss will show sooner or later, but she said what i have lost so far is excellent and that she was very proud of me! I was elated...she said she would write any letter she needed to for me and she would be happy to support me every step of the way. So all in all it was a great report..I go back in August because she wants to keep an eye on me. She did tell me to stop drinking my protein drinks,,,i don't need them! WOW. i was surprised at this..however she said i am getting what i need from food and to keep it up! Extra surprise there. She also said I needed to make sure to take in no less than 1000 calories because I am burning so many up exercising every day. Anyway, I am excited as you can tell. Being 1 year and 9 months post op i am still trying to learn about it..am i the odd one out here about still learning??? hugs JudyB

Hiyas Judy, you are doing awesome girl!!! Keep up the good work!! No your not alone. I think at every stage we are all learning. You can read and read and you still will learn something new as everyone is different and someones experiences might not be yours. Anna

Judy- great job. however, I would seriously rethink the protein drinks. If you exercise alot, you need the protein to repair those microtears that are in your muscles, and just because - you need the protein. But, it is your decision, personally, I would keep at them. What's gonna happen??? Great job! Jill

Hey Judy! Sounds like you are doing awesome. Congrats & keep it up. I think as the dr.'s learn more and we as patients get farther out, it is a learning process for everyone. Courtney
