My second PS consult verdict

Hi everyone As some of you know my first Plastic surgery consult didn't go very well. Today I went for my second one and it went GREAT! I absolutely liked this doctor and he took an hour and half with me..showed me before and after pics that I didn't have to ask him for and was just down to earth. But what really threw me over the top with him , is this comment he made and i quote, "Money don't matter to me, it is my patient's health and happiness that is my priority". We were talking about insurance etc. He was great..After much consideration and talking we decided that the T cut would be best for me. At first he wanted to do the cut all the way around (circumferential) but then looked at my skin further and said nope, you don't have much back fat if any at all, it's all in your belly and that is where i will cut you. I am glad he didn't jump too quick..that was another plus. He said that depending on how fast insurance approves (he didn't say if he said when) hehe...that i could have surgery within the next two weeks or so.. HOly crap!! He did say my surgery IS a medical necessity ..he typed out the letter to insurance while i was there...handed me the pics and the letter and a flat rate envelope..money and said here mail this for me...HOLY smokes!!!!! Can ya believe that...man he works quickly!!! Now the waiting game begins! Hugs JudyB

Judy- I am SO glad to hear that things went much better with the 2nd doc. Your gut feeling was right....go to another for a 2nd opinion. Hope it all works out for you! Jill

GM Jill Thanks for your support. My mom always told me to trust my gut instinct, and if the emotion felt negative after doing something, then it wasn't the right thing for me to move on to something else. Thanks MOM..man i miss her! JudyB

Good Luck Judy. I am interested to see your progress thru this. I was just denied on appeal for Dr. Drake. Maybe it wasnt meant to be. I wasnt really satisfied w/ him anyway. Good to see you again. Shannon

HI Shannon First let me say im sorry you were denied on appeal with dr.drake. I had seen one of his colleagues dr.gampper and was very unsatisfied with him..He wanted to make me an appointment to see dr.drake, but i really wanted to find someone else and did. I may get denied, its a big possibility. However, this surgeon seems to think i will get approved..but to me....im not putting all my eggs in one basket. I wouldn't give up on your surgery...maybe see another one..and let that doc resubmit and see what happens...keep appealing..dont give up! Do you have rashes, boils, yeast infections, back pain..etc?
