Hi Everyone, I just got this really cool information that got me in a state of grins an giggles. So I had to share. Norfolk Surgical Group participates in this white light body scan study in which they are trying to determine a better way to calculate BMI. As a result of this, they send all of their patients for a white light body scan preop and then several times post op. The patients get a tremendous amount of information from this. First, it very acucrately attains all of your measurements. Then it draws a 3-d image of your body based on the white lights that flash all around you in this little dark room. Well, I got the results of my test from Friday, and I am truly amazed at the difference in my body in just 8 short weeks. I have taken pictures and measurements, but the comparison between the drawing 8 weeks ago and now blew my mind. They actually superimposed one image on the other. I still can't believe the difference. Also, they calculated the change in inches for my whole body. the following are how much I have dropped in each part of my body: neck -1.4 (inches) Bust -4.64 Bust (contoured) -4.78 Rt. Biceps -2.5 Rt. Elbow -1.04 Rt. Forearm -1.97 Rt. Wrist -2.23 Waist -4.97 Rt. Thigh --3.45 Rt. Knee -1.47 Rt. Calf -.71 The measurements for the left side are very similar and there were a few other measurements that I didn't list. Bu the total number of inches lost in 8 weeks = 55.34!!! Unbelievable!!!! It makes me feel so ridiculous feeling like I am losing slower than I thought I would or feeling that I can't see a difference because it is so obvious now that there is a huge difference in my size and weight already (-42 pounds as of this morning, and I am almost to wonderland!!!). So they are using a torso volume to torso area ratio to determine BMI. And according to this scale I am no longer morbidly obese, I am obese now. Looks I am well on my toward only being overweight. Yeah! Well, that's it. Sorry for such a long post that is basically a pat on the back for me, but I am just sooooo excited! ~Robin

Thanks, Judy! It does feel fantastic! I am wearing clothes that I wore several years ago and they are looser on me right now than they were when I bought them! I'm loving it because that means I am going to have to start shopping soon! To top it all off, my blood pressure is normal and so is my cholesterol!! Hugs, Robin
