Carbs you evil twin!!
Good carbs vs bad carbs OH MY!!!
Ok , I am fessing up here. I love carbs..good or bad..I NEED HELP!! Please advise me how to get over these carbs..I watch my labels for carbs constantly...if it says 24g of CArbs i run not walk away. Question is...What do I eat? I have resorted to eating nothing over 10g carbs..Im scared! but sometimes i slip. Any advise..If I sound desperate, I AM!! I have thought about calling my nutritionist and asking her for help too..I think I will bite my bullet today and just do it. But I would love some of my friends advise here PLEASE!!

I wish I could offer advice here but,I am in the same boat.
I don't even know the amounts were suppose to have or the good vs bad..
My insurance doesn't pay for a nut so thats no help to me.
I did ask during my 6 month visit this week and she only gave me numbers to go buy when it came to calories and protein..nothing else just said keep it low..well that doesn't help..lol
I am not much help here either because my cir****tances are different. Because of my low blood sugar issues, my nut said to eat carbs because we found my body responded better with them. I do try to stay with good carbs from fruits, veggies, whole grain breads & pastas but I do allow some slippage every once in awhile. I don't think I was ever really told an amount to go by. Definitely call your nut. That is what they are here for.

Hi Judy,
I don't look so much at the number of carbs as I do the grams of sugar (Maybe I should, but my nut said sugar was more important). I try to keep the number of grams of sugar per serving below 6. I eat almonds, some fruits, & many vegetables on a regular basis now. But I do eat a little pasta, rice, or potato every now and then, but I limit it to 2 tablespoons or less and only 1-2 times per week. I even found these "tortillas" to make pizza or wraps on. They are the light, whole wheat "Flat Out" brand wraps. They have 9 grams of protein per wrap and only 90 calories. I usally only eat 1/2 of one when I do eat them, but they are delicious. I love pizza and was really missing it, but now I have some when I want it by using the flatout wraps. I toast it, top it with fresh tomato, basil, 1-2 oz. part skim mozarella, salt, pepper, and a spray of Olive Oil cooking spray, and bake it. It is awsome and dures the craving for pizza! It also completely fills me up and has about 19g of protein for about 200 calories. I also love making burritos with them. I use the tyson or perdue fajita chicken strips, 2% milk cheddar Cheese, salsa, lettuce, tomato, a few black beans, green onions, and a few chopped black olives on a half a wrap. Roll it all up, pop it in the microwave until its hot and the cheese is melted. Again, it's about 200 calories and almost 20g of protein if I can eat the whole thing. Sometimes I get full on this one when I am half way through it, but it is YUMMY!
Good Luck,
Robin
