To Buy or not to Buy?
Ok gang you gave me such sound responses on my staples question now I have another one lol
I do not own a camera, never been very fond of them but I have heard some people say they come in handy for before and after pics and to help document my journey in case I ever go for plastics. So my question is Walmart has a HP bundle which has the camera and a printer for $130. Is it really worth buying one just to take journey pics?? All opinions welcome and thanks in advance

I love my Kodak digital. I am not a photo buff like our girl Amber
Will you post your photos or just keep them in a book?
If you want photos just for you maybe just a "disposable" camera is better for you.
Maybe getting a camera will also inspire you to take pics on walks. Stopping to smell the roses so to speak.
I'm sure you will make the right decision for what is best for you!

Hi Karen
My husband and I bought a Kodak digital camera..and we love it! Of course we take pictures of everything! The good thing about a digital camera to "log" your journey is that you can see the picture before you either print it or take it to be printed out at a digital camera machine. And then you only have to pay a few cents for only the pictures you want vs paying for getting the whole roll developed that you may not want some of them. And they take good color pictures in case during your journey you develop rashes or boils etc. That way you can pic which ones you want to develop and have that documentation on. Just my opinion, but I think it is worth it!

Karen-
I truly did not "see" my progress until I took pictures at 3 months. I'd highly encourage you to take pictures during your journey. Now...whether that means getting the HP bundle or just going disposable is up to you. Just keep in mind the cost of development when using a disposable...at least with a digital you can put the pics side by side on your computer and get "instant" results....then print the ones you really want to keep/scrapbook/carry. Photo paper isn't that bad if you use it for only the ones you like/want.
Just my two cents!

Not just because I'm a fotog, but because of the amazing journeys ahead, you should definitely buy a camera. Eventually the camera becomes your friend. People flip out when they see my before pictures. They can't believe that I weighed 300 pounds. It's visual proof of what you've been through and a great inspiration for others who can't be with you all the time. There are so many great moments in life to capture, I'd go for it! Personally, for a first time user, the Kodak Easy Share cameras are the way to go. You can get them for a decent price with higher megapixels. They come with a charging dock and you can just take the little card to any store and print them out!

I'm another fan of the Kodak Easyshare didgital camera and instant developer. You can get a good deal now too, on paper at Office Depot, buy one get one free for 100 sheets. It is very easy to use
and please take lots of pictures on your journey. I'm six months out and haven't taken many pictures along the way because I am still getting over being camera unfriendly. I lost a part to my charging mechanism a few months ago and just reordered it from BNH in NY, so parts were easy for me to find too!
