Hi everyone I have officially been approved for my tummy tuck.  I received the letter in the mail today.  I called my surgeon's office and asked if my tentative date of June 8th will be my actual surgery date and he said he didn't see any reason that it wouldn't be, for me to call on Monday when his secretary got back from vacation to confirm my date and my preop on June 6th.  Woohoo!! I am so relieved to have gotten the letter and now my official date for my tt. hugs

Hiya Nat I started my account at makemeheal.  I can't wait to start posting pics there for others to see my progress.  I am sure I will have plenty of questions for you.  My first one being this.  What should I take to the hospital???  And if there is anything you can think of that will help me at home post op, i would appreciate the feedback. hugs...how are you feeling now??

Wear something verry comfortable . Like baggy sweat pants and loose top .  Start upping your protein NOW !! This will aid in your healing process . Trust me on this one .  When you get home .. stay put . Do not try to do anything that will strain that area . Make sure someone will be with you . You will have to get up and move around , but for the most part .. take it easy . You need to heal .  Once you are home and the healing begins .. and it is not oozing or open . You may want to purchase some Maderma for the scaring . I use that plus Arnica Montana Gel for the scars . So far so good . But as you can see if you looked at my pics on makemeheal . I have several places that opened up . One at the intersection , as I had the anchor cut . And being on my feet all those days at the hospital with Mom I did not get to rest and this did a number on me .  Only take with you a change of clothes like I said .. and just take it easy in the hospital . You will not regret it .  It will be fine .. Just take care of you !  Nat

Hey Nat Thank you so much for the great information.  My sweet hubby will be taking care of me and my wonderful neighbors are going to help out if need be. I had thought about upping my protein, and I am going to starting today! I do want to try to walk as much as I can without overdoing it when i get home.  I will be purchasing some mederma for my scars.  Where do you get the arnica montana gel at? Is it expensive? I am having the anchor cut incision as well.  How long were you in the hospital for?   hugs
