Does anyone know of a good protein bar?  I would like something that taste like a peanut butter cup or something to that nature.  I was just told that I could start having them.  When you looking at the lables, how much protein, carbs, total fat etc should be in each bar?  Thanks

I like the Adkins, Chocolate Chip granola.  I don't really read too much info on the label, I never really have, I just look for low fat, high protein & low sugar.

I'm a Power Crunch Bar girl.  They sell them at The Vitamin Shoppe or online.  They have 2 that are peanut butter flavored, one with chocolate (I think it's called Peanut Butter Fudge...it's the ONE I don't actually care for!).   But, I also recently discovered Protein Balls...you make them yourself with protein powder.  The recipe I got from Amber B tasted just like a peanut butter cup to me...yummo and just one or two does the trick for me. Here is the recipe, but there are a ton of different variations on the "balls." PROTEIN BALLS V 1 cup protein powder 1 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup sugar free maple syrup or honey Mix together well and roll into balls - about the size of a ping pong ball. Store in a Tupperware or Ziploc bag in the refrigerator. Best to you!

There are several that are easy to find, and not too bad.  Not like a Reese's cup, mind you.  But..... Her are my favs: Oh Yeah! bars - Vitamin Shoppe.  2 twix type sticks = 210 calories/ 13 Fat/8 Carbs/14 protein.  I eat 1 as a snack.  The chocolate chocolate isn't bad, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter isn't bar.  Mint is ok, too.

Rockin'Roll bar - Vitamin Shoppe.  I bar = 300 calories/ 12 Fat/ 29 Carbs/20 Protein.  This is full of nuts, hence the high carbs.  I usually eat 1/3 - 1/2 as a snack, especially when travelling.  I've enjoye all three flavors. Protein delite Brownies and Cookies - Bariatriceating.com. I don't have the stats here at work, but these arn't too bad.  I eat 1/2 as a snack, lightly heated in the microwave. Pure protein - Vitamin Shoppe. The smores is my fav, but there are a few others that aren't too bad either.  They are big bars, so I only eat about 1/3 at a time as a snack.  They avergae 30  calories and 32 grams of protein. I use protein bars mainly for camping or as a snack at work.  While camping it lets me have an eat, and portable snack while hiking.  I do not use them as meal replacements (cause I like food and they would not cut it for me).
