Nat/Tink Update
Well, I just got home from INOVA Fair Oaks. Natalie is still there, and it looks like she may be there for a couple more days until they get her straightened out. Her fever is down, and they are giving her massive broad-spectrum antibiotics via her iv. They think there may have been some infection where she had her butt done; there is a small, but painful opening that is draining slightly. She is in a great deal of pain, and has a PCA of Dilaudid. They've got an endocrinologist working with her adrenal insufficiency; they are not quite sure of the dosages of medicine that she needs for that. She received two more units of blood yesterday. She is also malnourished--Imagine that, after all she's been through.
She greatly appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
If anyone is in that area and feels the need, please take her some protein!! (Thanks to Jill and Jon for the Achiev 1's!)
I would have stayed up there, but I have an appointment with the UVA Pain Clinic tomorrow morning. (It was 2 1/2 years ago today that I fell down those darn steps at 240 lbs. and my pain began.)
Thank you all. Take care of yourselves.

Joann-
Does Nat like the Profect Protein bullets or Power Crunch protein bars? I have several of those that I'd be willing to share. I don't live to far from INOVA FO hospital, so I could stop by...or if you need anything while you're in the area, please let me know.
