I had my first "wow" moment today. At my 1week post op check, I was taken off ALL diabetes meds!! I had been on insulin for nearly 4yrs & replaced with metFormin after surgery. This is what I wanted to have WLS for--to make my health improve.

I'm just starting to feel good. I have a huge hematoma on the right side of my belly which causes some pain. Can't sleep through the night yet so I've been on the couch.

Can't wait to see you at the end of the month!

That is so awesome!!!!! Isn't hard to believe that your health has improved that much already??? I was so excited to be off my blood pressure and cholesterol meds. So I know exactly what a great feeling that is. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see you at the end of the month. Take Care, Robin

Congrats!!! Jen I know how you feel when I went back for my check up an ended up in the hospital I got the feeding tube but I was taken off the diabetic meds I was so glad, keep up the good work girl......
