Welcome to the VA Board! I don't have any particular experience with Tricare, but I can tell you that when I was worried about my insurance, I made a few phone calls. First I called my insurance company to see if they covered it and what requirements they had (be sure to ask if your company has the rider...some companies specifically exclude WLS)....I actually called 2-3 times to talk to different people to be sure I was getting the same information (HA...that's just me though...not trusting of ins. cos.!). THEN, I found a few surgeons that took my insurance and did my homework on them....confirming with both the ins. co. and surgeon that they worked together.
Worked for me....but I'm sure someone on here will have some experience with Tricare as well....
