Somewhat Proud

Just wanted to report and be accountable. When I left yesterday, I had every intention of doing what I said. As normal, I had an urgent situation where my friend was going to "drop" by last minute with his three kids and I wouldn't let anyone in my home the way it looked. I thought really hard about it and my first instinct was to say **** on it, order a pizza and just clean my house. Then I thought about Jill and explaining why I didn't follow through with my meeting plan or exercising. I through some tator tots in the oven (for the boy) and then went to work on my house. I didn't get to walk, but I think I got more exercise picking up laundry, vaccuming, and doing dishes. Then I cooked the turkey dogs and turkey chili (its great btw!) and ate mine up with only minutes to spare before I had to leave. So while I didn't walk like planned, I think I followed through with my meal plan and didn't sit on my tush for that hour! Thanks again for all your support guys!

Good for you Amber! One step at a time.....consistency is the key! I too am struggling with exercising and forcing myself to make the time/just do it.  Jill's advice to you was spot on and I know I needed to hear it also. :) What's the plan for tonight for you??

Thanks! I hate to say it, but I'm glad I'm not alone! Tonight I will be baking chicken, with garlic mashed potatos (for the boy) and peas. What about you?

WAY TO GO, GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for you!  The point is that you stuck to your plan as best as possible without giving into the little demon that sits on our shoulder trying to persuade us to do other things. I am PROUD of YOU!!!!!

Woohoo!  That's terrific, Amber!  It also serves as a good reminder to me to stick with my plan even if things get crazy around here (as they often do) and make the healthiest choice possible for ME.  I think we moms really need to remember to put ourselves and our health first more often.  Way to go!  I am proud of you!  I'm also looking forward to our get together on June 30th.  When and where are we meeting this time? Hugs, Robin
