Good am, Jennifer's list is peachy! I'd like to add taking deodorant and definitely follow her advice on the big comfy clothes for coming home. Good luck, God bless and see you on the Loser's Bench! Take care!

Well the next big step in your journey is here.  Congrats!!!!  Here are the things that I took with me that I actually used:  chapstick, pj pants, ponytail holder, slippers, clothes for the ride home

Here is what I learned would have been good to have with me: pillow for the ride home, mens tank top undershirt to wear under my binder The biggest things that you will need for home is food items or liquid items depending on if you are on a pureed food diet or liquid diet that are easy to make.  Some suggestions for pureed (I didn't do liquids so I don't really have suggestions): cottage cheese, oatmeal, eggs, applesauce, protein powder, milk, yougurt, cream of wheat, peanut butter, gravy (take a jar or make your own, put individual servings in an ice tray to freeze for your use, then nothing gets wasted), bbq sauce (sugar free), ketchup (sugar free) to use on your meats to keep them moist.

A small blender, chopper will be great to help you out.  I found it was easiest for me to just eat what ever everyone else was eating (within reason as long as it was lean meat, and fruit or veggies) instead of making myself seperate meals.  I was single at the time and was home by myself but spent a lot of evenings with my mom or sisters for dinner so they were great about fixing food items that would work for my diet needs and I would just stick them in the blender to puree them instead of fixing myself something extra. My thoughts and prayers are with you and can't wait to welcome you to the losing side.

Best of Luck on your upcoming surgery and we will be waiting on the loosing side to welcome you. The lists  that have been givin are super except I used a gown an robe I was to big for the PJ and elastic around the waist so I wore a large gown an robe w/ slippers home, I took no more than I needed because most hospitals give you the rest, except hair care. So prayers going up for you we will see ya in a few days.

I took WAY more than necessary. I didn't need the fan or the chapstick. I definitely didn't give a crap about the makeup and hair stuff I brought. I was in pain and just wanted to go home. Very crucial for me was my robe (to keep me covered when I walked), my slippers, my toothbrush, oversized going home PJs,  a pillow for the ride home, and a hair bow to hold up my hair. That is it. The hospital provided everything else (wet naps, toothpaste/brush, mouth wash, shampoo, etc.) One other key thing, I got my period the same day and it was the most ugly humbling experience ever for me. They had everything for that as well, but incase you have particulars, you might want to bring one of those, just in case. Good luck!

Everyone else covered the items I would tell you to take, so you should be all set! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
