Update on me
HI everyone
I can't be up too long, but wanted to update ya'll. My surgeon removed 9 pounds and 3 ounces of skin and fat. Last night I stayed at a hotel and started shivering like crazy. CAlled my surgeon and he came to the hotel and checked my temperature. It turned out to be normal. He said that apparently where the air was up pretty high and i was uncovered, my temp dropped a bit and my body was trying to warm me back up. My sister was a God send. He came by this morning at the hotel to check me again and told me i could travel the rest of the way home. I am doing ok, however, having some unexplained muscle spasm like things in my tummy???? anyone know what that is..is it normal?...I have two jp drains and they aren't getting alot of fluid in them at all....one hasn't gone over 15 ccs since surgery and the other not over 55..now 30...The surgeon told me this morning that he went back and looked at my before pics and then looked at me afterwards and said, "I believe you will be very pleased with your results"...We shall see! Right now I can't tell much difference cuz I am swollen. Say prayers for me, and hopefully i will feel better each day.

It does get better ! And the nerve endings may be waking up on your belly . I am so glad you are on the mend... and I am sure you will see great results.
I do want to tell you it is so important right now to get in your protein and your water ... this will help so well in your healing .
Please keep us posted .. and again , I am so happy things went well for you .
AS far as the drains are concerned ... feel blessed that they are not filling up . I still have one drain in .. and it has been almost 3 weeks .. hmmm .. they are a pain in the butt ... LOL .. I should get it out tommorow .. I also had one added to my breast Tuesday as I had a pocket fill up with fluid .. that one is empty and will come out tommorow .
Best to you sweety ... it gets better .. you just gotta take your time .

Judy-
I am SO glad that you are doing ok. I was worried about you.
9 pounds! WOW!!!!!! If they pull that much from me, I will disappear. My tummy is what keeps me anchored on windy days - hahaha.
But, glad to hear that you are doing ok. Like Nat said, I had heard that protein was more important now as it will help you heal.
Hugs and Kisses for a speedy recovery!
