I have my pre op this coming Friday and i'm so excited i'm literally bouncing off the walls!!! I'm supposed to get my surgery date then and I'm so ready for the surgery, and hope it's asap, but i'm also sooooooo looking forward to my trip to TX that I don't know if i'd be willing to cancel it, then again if I did, i'd be a skinny minny when I did finally go cause i'd be going in March!!! so it's decisions, decisions, decisions, I guess all I can do is wait till Friday, but i'm so excited that Friday seems like a lifetime away!!! okay i'm done now...

oh dont i wouldnt of missed my pre-op dates for nothing, i drove my self to my surgery and hubby stayed with my son logan, he came later of course, now when i woke up, now that was a different story!!! LOL. looks like you have a wonderful family too! good luck with everything, i didnt have my surgery done at the navy hospital i got deferred out, but ive been there for many other procedures and they are great!

Thanks Shelly i'm praying that i get a date in July, but if it's Aug i'm gonna make my trip, i'll only be gone a week and as far as i'm concerned i'd be willing to go in the day after i got back, but that will be impossible since I have to do a four day liquid diet so if they can't get me in in July then i'm hoping it's the middle of Aug...

well i hope you get the date you are looking for and you get to go on your trip too. yuck for the liquid diet though. i do not think i would of made it to well, i barely remember the diet after surgery now. cant wait to hear about your your weighloss journey on here. hugs!!!

Hi Missy ~~ CONGRATS on the scheduling of your preop appt. Were you at the last Support Group? Joan announced that things at PNH would be slowing down because Dr Chastenet is deploying (maybe already gone) to Afghanistan. I do know that the wait list now is much shorter than when I was waiting for my surgery (waited 15 mos in total). I think at that time she said they were booking surgeries for July. There are more surgeons coming in but they won't be here right away. I suggest that you discuss this with Joan at your preop appt. Don't stress over any of this. It's all going to work out beautifully !! Keep us posted.

Congrats, Missy! Welp, when I had my preop w/Dr. Mann and got to choose my date, it could have been soon, but we had planned on going away for spring break and I ended up choosing a date right after that. It could have been within the next couple weeks, so don't be surprised if it's sooner that you thought it would be!...lol. I remember thinking : all this time waiting and it's coming up SO soon. I felt almost like I wasn't prepared for it to be so soon! ....Good luck! xo Joy

YEAH!!!!! Congrats!!!!! You should be bouncing off of the walls. it is such a fun and exciting time. I mean, how exciting is it to literally change your life? To know that you have an actual chance at it. I'm sure that all will work itself out - with regards to your trip. But, enjoy this moment!

Thanks Ladies this board is so wonderful with all it's support and advice!!! Now if only today was Friday and not Monday, LOL!!! I'm sure the week will go by fast, my daughter is going to VBS at our Church all week so that will help the time go by for me!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!!

OMG!!! is right. I can't believe it's finally here. The begining of the appointments. This is so great. The road has been a long one for you, but just think very very soon you will be an official loser. I can't wait. I know you can't either. I hope you get a date for next month. I will be gone all next month but I will try to check in from time to time. Take it easy Missy and enjoy the ride.
