Yay for you, Missy. I'm so excited for you. You never can really plan these things. It seems like everytime someone gets a date, the always call with a last minute cancellation and they fill those spots. It's such a rollercoaster ride, but one I enjoyed for the most part. I know how excited you are for your trip, but I wouldn't pass on any earlier opportunity because you never know what will happen in the future. I know you'll do what's right for you and your family though.  Can't wait to hear about it!

WOW!  I am excited for you.  Each time I see someone having surgery at PNH, it means I am getting closer!(-:  If you do not mind me asking, how long have you been waiting?  I am hoping to be done with my WLS before the end of the year.  I got my referal in March of this year.  I originally wanted to go to a civillian doctor but I was assigned to PNH.  I was concerned about the waiting list being so long.  I have heard that it is not as bad as it used to be, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.  Best of luck to you.  Oh, I almost forgot, I saw that someone mentioned Joan, well her brother told me yesterday that she quit. I could not believe it.  Friday will be here before you know! Hi Christina, Things at PNH will slow a bit because Dr. Chastenet is deployed and another surgeon should arrive to help Dr. Mann about the end of July. Don't let the wait get you down. I suggest you use this time to change habits. Up your water intake, cut out any soda including diet soda, and cut back on caffein.  Take mulitvitamins, try some protein shakes and get one in each day. The more I did to behave like a post op patient helped me when I became post op. It is a wonderful tool and you will love the results. I am down 25 lbs in just 3 weeks, and off all diabetic meds. Enjoy the journey and Keep Posting! Jen
