Hi everyone!  I hope you all are doing good.  I am almost 4 months out and am still on 2oz.  Now you know those measuring cups? well i can eat 2 of those but at the same time im confused because a little bag of chips are 2oz roughly and i couldnt shove all of those chips in those little cups!  or like i bought some turkey peperonni and the whole package(which is A LOT) says only like 1.75oz.  I know i could not be even half of those things into those little cups.  So how do i go about measuring my stuff.  I accidently read the lable wrong for the pickles tonight and i thought it said 1oz =3/4 pickle but it was really 1oz=1/4 of a pickle SO.....I had a whole pickle, 1 slice of cheese and 2 saltine crackers!!!!! still wasnt full after that...then i was thinking in the car about the pickle and realized i just ate like6 oz!!!!!! how?!?!?!?  is my stomach already stretched out?  oh and another thing...i eat fish sticks and i can fit like 2 and a half in my cups....well i weighed them and they were only 0.5oz each.  that would make 4 fish sticks right?  all that will not fit into my cups!!! comeone help me please!!! thank you.

I am not sure what: " cups" you are talking about . What you need is a food scale . I use one still at 3 years out . But I can pretty much gauge what the ozs are .  Remember , things like chips ... crackers are going to melt down to nothing in your pouch . That is why you are able to get what you think is a lot in .  And no your pouch is not stretched out ... you would really have to do some damage to it , and trust me .. you are no where close .  If you really want the food weighed .. use a true food scale . Walmart carries them .  Natalie

I very rarely use a measuring cup.  Like Nat, I use a food scale to weight and measure everything -  Even cottage cheese.  I don't normally guage by a measuring cup (unless it it milk).

You got the same answer from the others that I would basically have said.  Keep up the great work and feel free to ask questions any time.

You're confusing the weight of a food, for example the 2 oz. of potato chips to 2 oz. of  fluid measure.  It's like 8oz of water (fluid oz) doesn't  weigh 8 oz.   The 2oz. cups you were given are for size portions, not weight.   Hope that helps... Sheila
