First TT postop visit
HI my friends
I had my first official postop visit with dr.bandeian today. It went very well. No signs of infection, no necrotic (dead) skin, no drainage from my incisions. And the best thing ever, he pulled both of my drains!!!! And get this, remember i was freaking out about the drains hurting when they take them out...IT didn't hurt, just felt weird..only thing that stung at all were the few stiches i had around the drain tube..that was it!!! I grimaced though, but that was before he pulled them!!! LOL..what a mind frame i was in when i went there. But when he took the bandages off and i saw my belly button , first thing i said was...wow its so small!! he said what's small..i said my belly button..its not deep now!! He snickered and said, not what i expected either, i expected you not to even have a belly button. He is very very surprised and pleased at the results so far. He did rebandage me but with a smaller amount of bandaging and tape..more where the drains were in though. He will take out my staples next monday and said that I can take off my leg stockings then too . He didn't say, and I didn't ask how long I need to wear this binder....but He will let me know. Can ya'll tell I am excited????? LOL
Ok enough of my rambling! But heck I deserve it,,,this is the bomb being able to see that i do indeed have a figure after years of being obese!!!! Today, I can say, it is worth it..
So, Melinda....don't fret none gf!

That's awesome. I can't wait to have a little, shallow belly button instead of one that looks like it leads to China! HA!Ha! I know you are feeling better than you were before - now that you know everything looks good and has your surgeon's stamp of approval. That is so reassuring. You take care of yourself and keep resting, letting yourself heal up good!
Hugs,
Robin
Hiya Robin
Thanks honey. I know what you mean about the hole to china belly button. Mine was the same. It seems so weird to be having one that will take a small qtip to clean rather than a toilet bowl brush (LOL)...NO offense to anyone..but that is how mine was. How is it going for you since your surgery?

You're so funny! I've hit a little bit of a stall for about 5 days now, but that's okay. I know I will start losing again very soon and that I am shrinking as I write this. I really can't complain because I have lost about 63 pounds in just over 3 months and only have 50 pounds left to lose. I am down to a size 12. Life is awesome! I hope I get to meet you someday. I love your ever-positive personality and support that you readily share with everyone on here. You are so giving of yourself and deserve every bit of happiness that is coming your way!
Hugs,
Robin
